Potential energy is the type that is caused when more than one thing knocks together and causes something to happen. Potential energy is energy stored within a physical system as a result the position or configuration of the different parts of that system.
Kinetic energy is moving energy that can be picked up and moved around for it. Kinetic energy is possessed by an object because of its motion. All moving objects have kinetic energy.

This is a combination of both because the biker is going up the hill which causes motion therefore it is kinetic. It is potential when the biker is at the top of the hill and storing energy and ready to go down the side of the hill with that stored energy. Then it becomes kinetic energy because the biker is using the stored energy to go down the side of the hill, thus this being in motion the biker has entered kinetic energy again. The whole world is kinetic because the earth is spinning and everything is moving. Potential energy is drawing a bow back but not shooting it.
Acoustic energy Acoustic Energy is where sound is traveling through a substance i.e. water, solid objects etc. When you play an acoustic guitar, you are creating acoustic energy by strumming the chords and making a sound. Acoustic Energy

People who work at factories that use machinery to do work have to be kept at a certain thermal energy to work. A kid wanting to use thermal energy or learn about it could use a thermometer and test different temperatures. Chemical A change in which a substance undergoes a structural change and cannot be reformed into its original substance. A child could crumple up a piece of paper and then unfold it. Then with a parents help, they could throw it in a burning fireplace and then the paper as it disintegrates would technically be a chemical change. Chemical energy.
Electrical “The potential energy of an electric charge in an electric field, or of an electric current in a magnetic field.” An electrical change occurs when something like a switch turns on to deliver electric energy in a house per say. This is also how a child could learn about electrical energy. Electromagnetic A radiant energy that is delivered when a magnet comes in contact with any form of electricity causing a chain onto a metal surface. A child could take a magnet and force it into a magnetic charge therefore making an electromagnetic magnet. Nuclear
